You snuggled deeper into your overcoat as you headed toward the university. The crisp autumn atmosphere rolled all across England, meaning your evenings were now filled with hot chocolate and hearth fire.
And Arthur, of course, who you were on your way to see now.
Arthur really was the perfect boyfriend, a true gentleman straight out of a 19th century romance novel complete with perfect manners and the ability to dance.
Before you started to date, he actually called your father and asked his permission to "court" you. His chivalry wasn't forced or investing, it was simply in Arthur's nature: He was never rude to you, he was always considerate of you, and he held you in the greatest respect.
As if his manner wasn't enough, he was also incredibly handsome, with soft blonde hair and glittering jade eyes. You honestly had no idea what cosmological luck fall landed you with him.
You let out a happy sigh and nearly skipped up the stairs to the great stone steps of the building.
You opened the door to Arthur's lecture hall, grinning upon seeing his form hunched over his desk, concentrating intently on some papers.
He looked up when he heard you enter. He smiled. "Hello, (Name). I'm almost done; I just need to clean up. Then we'll go, alright?"
"Great!" You chirped. "I'm starving!"
He shuffled up some papers and filed them away while you waited patiently.
As he turned to erase some Greek letters off of his blackboard, something slipped out if his coat pocked and landed softly on the ground.
You stooped down to pick it up. "Arthur, you dropped..."
Your heart stopped. It was a little velvet box. The name of a fancy jewelers was imprinted on the top in shiny silver script. A ring box
Your eyes widened in shock. Wa-was he going to-!?
Arthur turned around at your silence. "What did I-"
His face paled as he saw you holding the little box. He mouthed empty words before he hung his head, a distraught expression on his face.
"Oh (Name), it wasn't suppose to happen like this..."
You looked down at the object in your hands. Fingers shaking, you slowly opened the little case. Inside was a sparkling diamond ring.
Your head shot up, eyes wide. "I-is this an-"
"Engagement ring? Yes, love." He rubbed the back of his neck, sadness on his features. "I was trying to think of the perfect way to ask. B-but I couldn't think of something that was good enough. Something...worthy of you. That would physically express how much I truly care about you."
He reached out to grab your hand and got down on one knee. "I know this probably isn't what you had in mind when you imagined your proposal." He smiled sheepishly, "But it dosen't change how… fervently I feel about you. How you're the most amazing woman I've ever met- how I can't imagine spending one day of my life without you next to me. "
Your heart stopped he looked up at you, eyes shining with admiration and emotion.
"(Name), would you do me the honor of being my wife?"
A tear fell down your cheek as you launched yourself into him, knocking him down.
You put your arms around either side of his surprised looking face. "Oh, yes! Yes Iggy! Of course I'll marry you!"
A relived grin crossed his countenance as he grabbed your cheeks in his hands and pulled you down into a kiss, your lips moving against each other's gently, but with an all-consuming passion that had never surfaced until now.
He broke the kiss, smiling lovingly, and sat up, resting you in his lap.
"Mrs. (Name) Kirkland," He pressed his lips to your neck. "That sounds fantastic."

The rule of a Gentleman # 12
Play with her hair when she’s laying on your chest
He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have you in his life. He couldn’t believe how you would do anything to see him, anything for him; even if it meant going through hell and back. He doesn’t even understand why you go through what you so and do so much for him- just for him. There are days when he comes home from work and he literally looks for anything to start a fight in order to get rid of his work related stress, anger and aggravation; and you stand there and let him yell and scream at you knowing it’s not you he’s ang

EnglandxReader- A Kiss In The Rain
"Thank you for driving me home, Arthur." you said gratefully as the two of you pulled up to your driveway.
"It was my pleasure," Arthur responded warmly. "After all," he added, looking at you with a smile in his emerald eyes,"it was only what any proper gentleman would do."
You smiled back at him shyly, but your heart was fluttering inside your chest. Others would call Arthur Kirkland "cold", "cynical", and "snide", but even from the relatively short time you had known him, you knew that under the surface, he could be as sweet and gentle as any other man. You harbored hopes inside of you, small but bright, that he would some day return your

“You look so wonderful, Your Highness,” said one girl.
“I agree. No one will beat your beauty,” said another.
‘Really?’ you thought as you saw yourself in a full body mirror in front of you. No cleavage shown, no sparkles, no corset and easy to walk in. It’s a very simple dress for a princess in a kingdom. Yes, you were a princess, the only princess of the kingdom and today you were to fulfill an invitation from neighbor kingdom to
