Tony Stark X Reader - A Single Exception - Part 5
There must be a rule, you thought when you woke up in bed the next day, wrapped in your blankets and a thin sense of anxiousness, about how long you should wait before you visit someone you just saw, so how come nobody has ever told it to me?!?
Your adventure at Stark Tower had been beyond great, but now you had a new problem: you’d already visited once (kind of at his request??) and you didn’t know when or if another visit was appropriate. You were torn between the awkwardness of showing up at Stark Tower randomly and really, really wanting to see that Tony again. Fortunately for you, however, you didn’t have to make tha

Thunder cracked and water streamed over the dark windows and cobble streets as they streaked past your blurred field of vision.
I need to get out of this rain!
You had been looking for refuge for five days, since you ran away from the cruel conditions of the girls home you'd been kept up in all your life. The indifference to your well-being you had tolerated, but last month marked the first of a series of abuses at the (literal) hands of the bestial matron, and the bruises and taste of blood became too much to put up with. So you ran away.
There was no one in the streets-all of the families were safe inside, none of them wanting to venture

Tony Stark X Reader - A Single Exception - Part 4
Walking home from the store one day, you realized you had eaten with Tony Stark over a week ago and you were still seeing his name everywhere. The newsstands around you were practically bursting. Interviews, pictures, full-blown articles on this man-Tony Stark-the guy you just ate dinner with. He was famous. And powerful. And a crazy smart.
That was the week you learned celebrity encounters tended to be like blunt force trauma: you go into shock at first and feel a bit numb, but then you get used to it. Until the next day, when the memory hangs on you for a few days like a bruise you want to show off to everybody
Another wave of remembrance

“That works.” He chuckled, whipping off his glasses. “It’s Stark.”
Just like that your mind shot into overdrive.

The instant the horn sounded you bounded away, ready to charge to the other side. Time was essential to this game, you figured, and if you played with it on your side you may have a chance at winning. So you quickly rushed through the woods, hoping to find the Allies flag as soon as possible before they had a chance to get yours.
The leaves and branches of the forest brushed against you as you flew through it, soaring across the jagged terrain with a smile on your face. You had never really run through a forest before-it was kind of exhilarating! The wind nipped at your ears, whistling past your cheek with a dull chill. Air filled your lungs

You were hesitant to run blindly into the woods. Ludwig was big on organized warfare-he told you to make a plan and play to your strengths. Too bad he didn’t tell you what plan to follow. Or what your strengths were…
You headed over to the stream that wound through the woods, trying to form some sort of semi-useful idea. You sat down by the bank among the cattails and clear water.
“What if I use an astrolabe to…wait, it would have to be night…so maybe…”
Your thoughts were interrupted by a splashing sound nearby. You scrambled to cover, unsure of the foreigner-but whether it was an Ally or an ani

As the sound of America's (rather obnoxious) air horn, you took off, making sure to keep low to the ground.
You approached hostile territory and glanced around. There was no one in sight.
There was no one anywhere.
You smiled smugly, congratulating yourself on sneaking passed everyone. After tip-toeing silently across the enemy line, a nearby rustle sent your heart racing as you immediately dove into some bushes.
"What was that noise?" You strained your ears, trying to determine what the sound was, or if it would come again.
Birds chirped brightly, but nothing unusual greeted your ears.
You peeked out from in between the branches. Just

This was going on forever.
The sun had just peaked under the horizon as you launched into your 34rd game. Allies were in the lead, 17 to 16.
The two groups refused to let the other have victory, so any time the Allies were ahead, the Axis demanded another game, and anytime they were in the lead, Alfred would call for another round "FOR THE SAKE OF DEMOCRACY!!!!".
You half-heartedly trudged through the woods as the game began, too tired to be competitive.
"I don't even care if my team wins anymore," You though, stifling a yawn, "I think I'll just let the guys work this one out on their own."
You stopped walking and plopped down on the for

Once the game started, you watched the rest of your team head out into the woods. You had volunteered to stay behind and guard the flag; let them run around and get sweaty, you were going to enjoy this lovely day by relaxing in the shade. Your eyes closed in contentment. You paced around the tree, trailing your feet across the grass as you left wide circles in your path. Cool air danced down through the sky, making the leaves tremble in the tall trees as sunshine poured out over them. It was a thoroughly pleasant day. The blue flag fluttered gently in the breeze, hanging off the giant oak behind you. The sun was bright and the birds were nois
